Hey all,

Enough motorcycles for now... I'm posting about a new toy that should be showing up at my house tomorrow.  The toy of which I speak is none other than the wicked cool little Asus Eee PC that I ordered from NewEgg...

I saw the press announcements for this critter and was immediately intrigued.  I've been fighting with various "gadgets" over the years trying to find the perfect match of size and power.  I'm currently hooked on Windows Mobile stuff, but the power is a bit "lacking".  The alternative is a micro-laptop like the Sony Vaios (no linky, their site kind of sux) and such, but the price on them is outrageous...  especially if all you really need it for is surfing, email, a keyboard and occasional entertainment and coding.   The Eee looks to be the perfect solution...  Small (fits in a motorcycle tank bag), solid state (no hard drives to die), powerful (1 Ghz Intel CPU), runs a real OS (a Xandros Linux derivative or Windows XP) and cool looking. ;)  It should be showing up tomorrow via the "Big Brown Van of Luv".  I'll post up some more links and thoughts on the critter soon.
